Thatto Heath staged a remarkable recovery against Leigh East in the National Conference Premier League Minor Final to come from behind and beat Leigh East
With just over 20 minutes left on the clock Easts were 6-19 up and seemingly in control of the tie, when they had a player sent off and their defence fell apart. Heath took full control of the game, using the extra man to their advantage and scored 3 converted tries to take the tie 24-19, and progress to the Grand Final.
It has been a remarkable 12 months for the Crusaders. This time last year they had won the Division One title by a massive 8 points, and had been promoted back to the Premier League, after only one season in Division One. They finished runners-up to Siddal on points difference this season, and have looked like a champion side for most of the season. They now face Siddal in the Grand Final - it will be the fourth meeting of the two sides this season with Siddal 2-1 ahead so far.
